The Bothell boys basketball team narrowly escapes big fourth quarter from Issaquah Tuesday to stay undefeated on the season, 67-64.
The Cougars looked to be rolling to their sixth win of the young season during the first half, outscoring the Eagles 34-27 at halftime.
That lead continued to grown during the second half, as Bothell scored 18 points during the third quarter, entering the final frame of play with a 10-point lead.
But that lead dwindled as the second ticked off the clock during the fourth quarter. Issaquah managed to scored 22 points, nearly doubling its second-quarter output of 12 points.
A three-point attempt by the Eagles with time expiring nearly tied the game but missed the mark.
Cougar Zach LaVine led all scorers with 35 points during the contest. Perrion Callandret (12) and Josh Martin (10) finished with double digits in scoring.
