Inglemoor buries Roosevelt during first half, cruises to victory | Prep girls basketball

December 20, 2012 · 11:00 AM

The Inglemoor High School girls basketball team is now ranked in the top five of most state-wide polls. With that ranking, the team has faced some added pressure.

But if the girls a feeling pressure it sure didn’t show Wednesday night in Seattle as they dismantled Roosevelt 71-34 with a balanced offense.

The Vikings’ defense stymied the Roughriders during the first half, holding their opponents to single digits during each of the first two quarters.  Inglemoor took a 36-12 lead into the locker room.

Inglemoor cruised to the easy win during the second half, as only one player finished in double figures, Deja Strother with 12 points.

Teammates Chalayia Fuller (9), Alex Hagen (8), Jordana Price (8), Brooklyn Walker (8) and Sammi Williams (7) were all one basket from double figures and contributed to the balanced offense.
