Cedar Park falls to Mountlake Terrace despite Goodnight's 27 points | Prep girls basketball
December 28, 2012 · 10:09 AM
The Cedar Park Christian girls basketball team lost to Mountlake Terrace Thursday during the first round of the King's Gift of Life Tournament at King's High School, 58-36.
Laura Goodnight put on a show despite the loss, accounting for all but nine points of the Eagles's total. Goodnight's 27 points were the most this season by any Cedar Park player.
Both teams played even during the first quarter but the Eagles struggled to find the basket during the second quarter, scoring just three points.
A six-point effort during the third quarter put the Cedar Park team too far behind to catch up despite scoring more during the fourth quarter, 19 points, than they did during the first three quarters combined.
