Cedar Park boys qualify for finals of Cactus Jam | Prep boys basketball

The Cedar Park Christian boys basketball team used balanced scoring, with four players finishing in double figures, to defeated Ransom Everglades of Miami, Fla. 64-50 Friday night.

The semifinal victory of the Cactus Jam tournament in Pheonix, Ariz. set the Bothell team up to play Lake Washington Saturday night during the finals.

Against Ransom, Trey Drechsel, Isaiah Penchion and Luke Sauferer all scored 12 points each, while teammates Evan Scholten scored 11 points and Daniel Christenson posted nine points.

The teams played close during the first half, as Cedar Park took a five-point lead into halftime. Bothell exploded for 20 points during the third quarter, while holding Ransom to just 10 points.
