Vashon Island held scoreless during the first quarter against Cedar Park | Prep girls basketball

The Cedar Park Christian girls basketball team and Vashon Island combined for just 59 points Friday night. Despite the defensive battle, the Eagles pulled out the victory 34-25 thanks to keeping Vashon scoreless during the first quarter.

But Vashon nearly turned it over on Cedar Park, as the Eagles scored just two points during the second quarter.

The Cedar Park girls regained their legs during the second half, outscoring Vashon Island 24-16.

The Eagles were led by Laura Goodnight with 13 points.
