January 18, 2013 · 10:18 PM

The Cedar Park Christian High School girls basketball team was outscored during all but one quarter of its game against Charles Wright on Friday.

But the team made 14-5 run during the second quarter hold up as it propelled the Eagles to an improbable victory, 44-42.

Charles Wright held a 15-12 advantage after the first eight minutes of the game and outscored the Eagles by two points during each of the last two quarters. But the Cedar Park defense held off the Charles Wright charge just long enough for the Eagles to take the victory.

Cedar Park’s Madison Parmenter led all scorers with 20 points, while teammate Laura Goodnight contributed 14 points.
