Conroy, Strother combine to score more than Bothell team in rivalry game | Prep girls basketball

The league rivalry game between the Inglemoor and Bothell girls basketball teams became a lopsided blowout Friday at Bothell High School thanks to two players.

The Vikings' Kelly Conroy (24) and Deja Strother (16) combined for 40 points during the 72-35 Inglemoor victory.

The Vikings held a 39-18 lead at the end of the first half and never looked back. Bothell was consistent, scoring nine points during every quarter but the third when they scored eight points.

The third quarter was also the only quarter that Inglemoor didn't more than double the Cougars' points total.

Erin Burns led Bothell with 10 points, while teammates Randi Dixon (9 points) and Brenda Akoto (8 points) also scored multiple baskets.

The win helps Inglemoor keep pace with Eastlake at 9-2 in league play. The Vikings are 14-2 overall.

Bothell falls to 2-10 in league play and 4-14 overall.
