Cedar Park collapses during second half, falls from the ranks of the unbeaten | Prep boys basketball

The Cedar Park Christian boys basketball team collapsed during the second half of its game against Cascade Christian Tuesday night to fall from the ranks of the unbeaten.

The team held a one-point lead before Puyallup player Shawn Spencer hit a last second shot to down the Eagles 52-51. But ti should not have come down to that last shot.

Cedar Park began the game hot, pulling out to a 10-points lead before the second quarter began. That lead increased to 33-12 at halftime.

But Cascade Christian pounded the boards during the second half, outscoring the Eagles 40-18, including a 24-point third quarter.

Spencer led Cascade with 25 points during the game, while the team from Bothell only had one player, Trey Drechsel, score in double figures with 11 points.

The loss drops Cedar Park to 12-1 in league play and 16-1 overall.
