Bothell finishes regular season with loss | Prep girls basketball

The Bothell High School girls basketball team finished the regular season Wednesday at Newport with a 52-39 loss.

The Knights took an early four-point lead and doubled it during a second-quarter defensive battle. The Cougars made headway during the third quarter, cutting the deficit to just three points before Newport ran away with the game by doubling up Bothell's score in the fourth quarter, 20-10.

Randi Dixon led the team with 13 points during the contest.

The Cougars finish the regular season with a 3-11 in-league record and 5-15 overall.

Bothell was led this season by Dixon, who averaged 10 points per game.

The team did earn the fourth and final seed to the KingCo tournament from the Crest Division.
