Inglemoor avenges loss to Woodinville | Prep girls basketball
The Inglemoor girls basketball team lost just two games this season, one to Issaquah and one to Woodinville. The Vikings got a shot at redemption against one of those teams Friday and took full advantage, beating Woodinville 75-59.
Inglemoor began the game slow, scoring just nine points during the first quarter. But the Falcons could not take advantage and the Vikings pulled ahead with a strong second quarter, outscoring their opponents 21-17.
Third-quarter play defined the game though, as Inglemoor doubled up the home team, 20-10.
The Vikings finished the final game of the season strong, scoring 25 fourth-quarter points.
Kelly Conroy led Inglemoor with 21 points, while Deja Strother scored 18 points. Teammates Alex Hagen and Julia Haining proved that the Vikings are ready for the post season, giving the team two more players in double figures with 10 points each.
Inglemoor finishes the regular season as the Crest Division champions with a 12-2 in league play and 17-2 overall.
