Cear Park finishes season with one loss, beats Chimacum | Prep boys basketball

The Cedar Park boys basketball team finished the regular season Tuesday with just one loss and the 1A Nisqually title during its first year in the division.

The Eagles brought the regular season to an end against Chimacum 73-28 in Port Townsend.

The game was not much competition for the Eagles, as they held a 20-5 lead after the first eight minutes of play. Cedar Park put the game out of reach for Chimacum by halftime with a 38-11 lead.

Nine players scored for Cedar Park during the game, including 19 points for Trey Drechsel, and 13 points each for Luke Sauferer and Evan Scholten.

Cedar Park will get a long layoff as their next game wont be played until the Tri-District Championships on Feb. 16.
