The Inglemoor girls basketball team got a scare Wednesday during the first round of the 4A KingCo playoffs. The team had to use a dominating second half to overcome a five-point halftime deficit to beat Ballard 51-40.

The Beavers surprised the Vikings during the first quarter, outscoring Inglemoor 14-9. But the Vikings got their legs back during the second quarter, as the teams played even until halftime.

But it was a different story during the third quarter, as Inglemoor erased the deficit with a 12-7 run and then blew out the Beavers 19-8 during the final eight minutes of the game.

Chalayia Fuller led the Vikings with 13 points during the contest and Kelly Conroy had nine points.

With the win, Inglemoor advances to the second round of the KingCo tournament with an 8:15 p.m. game Saturday at Juanita High School against Issaquah.
