The Bothell boys basketball team road a 10-point halftime lead against Bethel to a victory Saturday night at Rogers High School in Puyallup to advance to state.

The Cougars built an early six-point lead during the first quarter, but their suffocating defense held Bethel to just five second-quarter points.

Bothell took a 30-20 lead into halftime and made it stand up through a competitive second half.

Bothell's big three led the way, as seniors Zach LaVine (19 points), Perrion Callendret (19 points) and junior Josh Martin (12 points) all finished in double figures.
