The Saint Benedict College Blazer's swimming and diving team had four honorees on the 2013 All Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team including Ellen Dean from Bothell. The MIAC announced its All-Conference swimming team on Feb. 21.

The Blazers were represented by Dean, Maria Gathje, Stephanie Bierman and Victoria Tormanen.

The honorees are awarded based on their performances at the MIAC Championship meet on Feb. 16.

Dean led the Blazers with the team's best finish of the meet, taking second in the 200-fly. Dean touched the wall in 2-minutes, 10.23-seconds her best time of the year by five seconds. This marks the third straight season that Dean has earned All-MIAC honors, the most on the team.

The Blazers finished in fourth place at the 2013 MIAC Championships, moving up a spot in the final day after sitting in fifth after each of the first two days.
