The Inglemoor High School fastpitch softball team lost to Lake Washington at home on Thursday, 12-9.
The Vikings were forced to play catch up during the entire contest. The Kangs jumped out to a 5-1 by the middle of the second inning. The Vikings battled back to tie the game at 6-6 by the end of the fourth inning.
Lake Washington took a three-run lead during its next at-bat, but Inglemoor came back again, scoring three runs of its own during the bottom of the sixth.
The Kangs hitting proved to be too much for the Vikings, scoring three runs during the seventh to win the game.
The loss came despite Shelby Johnston's home run and three RBI. Holly Sandberg finished 2-for-4 with three RBI.
