Cedar Park defeats Charles Wright, Drechsel scores 30 | Prep boys basketball

The Cedar Park High School boys basketball team defeated Charles Wright Monday night, 77-52, behind a huge night by Trey Drechsel in Bothell.

The Eagles began the game with the hot hand, outscoring their opponents 19-10 during the first eight minutes of play. But Charles Wright found its groove during the second quarter, exploding for 24 points and cutting into the lead.

The Charles Wright boys kept pace during the third quarter but fell a little further behind.

The fourth quarter was all Ealges, as the team outscored the visitors by 15 points.

Cedar Park was led by Drechsel, who scored 30 points, and David McLaurin with 22 points. Isaiah Penchion scored 10 points for the Eagles.
