Slow first half costs Cedar Park a win | Prep girls basketball

The Cedar Park Christian High School girls basketball team started slow against Charles Wright Monday night and it cost the team in a 44-42 loss.

Charles Wright edged out ahead of the Eagles during the first quarter by one point but took charge during the second quarter, extending that lead to 27-21.

Cedar Park cut into that lead by four points during the third quarter but the teams played even during the fourth quarter.

Laura Goodnight (14 points) and Madison Parmenter (13) led the Eagles in scoring.
