Strong second half lifts Bothell past Meadowdale | Prep girls basketball

The Bothell High School girls basketball team defeated Meadowdale Monday, 43-31, with a strong second half.

The teams began the game playing basket-for-basket. Meadowdale held a slim one-possession lead, 22-20, at halftime.

But the second half saw the Cougars take control in a big way, holding Meadowdale to just three third-quarter points. Overall, Bothell would outscore their opponents 23-9 during the second half.

The Cougars were led by Brenda Akoto with 11 points and Taya Corosdale with 10 points.
