Strother leads big comeback against Mount Rainier | Prep girls basketball

The Inglemoor High School girls basketball team fell behind early Monday during the King Showcase at the ShoWare Center in Kent. The Rams built a 22-14 lead before the Vikings' Deja Strother led a big comeback for a 68-53 victory.

Mount Rainier dominated the first quarter, as the Vikings struggled from the field. But the Inglemoor players found their groove with 19 second-quarter points and down 38-33 at half time.

Inglemoor kept chipping away at the lead, cutting it by another four points during the third quarter. But the Vikings would take control during the fourth quarter, holding the Rams to just eight points while knocking down shot after shot. In all, Inglemoor scored 24 fourth-quarter points to take the win.

Strother finished the game with 22 points, while teammates Alex Hagen and Kennedy Nicholas each finished with 11 points.
