Warner strikes out 11 in guiding Bothell to win | Prep girls softball

Julia Warner struck out 11 batters Tuesday and threw a complete game to lead the Bothell High School girls softball team to a 12-2 victory in Ballard.

Bothell began the game by scoring eight runs through the first four innings. The Cougars scored three more runs during the top of the sixth before Ballard finally got on the board to prevent a mercy-rule finish to the game.

Bothell would extend the lead to 10 runs during the top of the seventh inning.

Megan Luckey was 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored and three RBI, while her Cougar teammate Olivia Aasen finished 3-for-5 with two RBI.
