Viks Volleyball
The Vikings (2-2-0) survived a back-and forth showdown against 4A KingCo opponent Ballard High (1-3-0) while playing at home, winning in a five-game tiebreaker match by a score of 3-2.
For the Vikings, 6-foot-1 sophomore Kyla Keeler-Trush had nine kills, Jasmine Roe and Emily Anderson combined for 20 kills, and setter Tess Parent was credited with a remarkable 39 assists during the match.
Bothell Volleyball
The undefeated Cougars (4-0-0) responded successfully while under pressure against the Roughriders (2-2-0) last Thursday at home, winning in four games.
For Bothell, senior Charnele Odingo led the offense with 14 kills, followed by Blythe Cannon who had 12 kills to along with 20 digs. Setter Anna Buck assisted her team 39 times, and Zoe Iida led the defense with 25 digs and also contributed four service aces.
Inglemoor Tennis
Inglemoor won five of six singles matches while taking care of the Rebels at Juanita High School last Tuesday 6-3.
For Inglemoor, Trevor Shih, Ryan Mayo, Colin Cheung, Jerry Jiang, and Jesse Miller all won in singles, and the 1-2 punch of Shih and Mayo soundly beat the Rebels’ top doubles team of Dayhuk Hahm and Jake Ichikawa 6-3, 6-1.
