Katie Chapman swimming strong for Whitman College

Inglemoor High graduate Katie Chapman was part of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that took first in Whitman College's (Walla Walla) recent Northwest Conference 125-80 victory over Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Ore. The team is 5-1 in conference and 6-1 overall.

In one early season victory, Chapman's 400 free relay (3 minutes, 42.95 seconds), broke a school record that had stood for 17 years. She also helped set a new school record in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:42.56).
