Inglemoor swimming wins district, state meet is up next / Prep Roundup
With a trio of individual titles and a pair of relay crowns, Inglemoor High bested the competition on Saturday to claim the 4A Sea-King District swim and dive championship at Juanita High.
The Vikings scored 274 points, followed by second-place Garfield with 234.
Next up for a host of Vikings will be the state meet this weekend at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. The swim and diving prelims are at 5:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., respectively, on Friday. The swimming and diving finals begin at 5:45 p.m. Saturday.
Leading the Inglemoor victory charge at districts were:
• 50 free — Craig Olynyk, 22.63*
• Diving — Spencer Moore, 374.50
• 200 free relay — Jonas Friederich, Olynyk, Sam Billet and Carl Olsson, 1:30.69*
• 100 back — Kyle Komlodi, 53.57*
• 400 free relay — Michael Postetter, Olsson, Billet and Komlodi, 3:19.57*

In wrestling action at the 4A Region II Tournament on Saturday at Beamer High, Inglemoor placed 15th and Bothell took 17th in the team standings.
At this weekend’s Mat Classic XXII state tournament at the Tacoma Dome, Bothell’s Chris Ungerecht will take on Beau Gleed of Moses Lake at 103 pounds at 10:10 a.m. in Friday’s opener.
At 135, Inglemoor’s Anthony Bratcher will tussle with Jordan Higa of Tahoma at 11:30 a.m. Friday.
Inglemoor’s gymnasts finished second at the 4A District 1 and 2 meet on Saturday with a score of 171.7. Mina Tanaka took third all around at Sammamish High and qualifies for this weekend’s state meet at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Center.
Also for Inglemoor, Shawna Kelley qualified for state on floor, vault and bars and Katie Thoma will compete on beam.
For Bothell, Karli Bodine is headed to state on beam.
The 4A state competition begins at 6:35 p.m. Friday and 11:20 a.m. Saturday.
