Bothell defeats Newport, 5-1

Bothell beat Newport, 5-1, in 4A KingCo baseball action on March 28 in Bothell.

The Cougars upped their record to 2-1 in league and 4-2 overall. Brody Ponti and Jake Peoples each tripled and had three hits apiece and Peoples added three RBIs. Jackson Gould earned the win from the mound.

Newport — which fell to 2-2 in league and 4-2 overall — received two hits each from Riley Harper and Tre Louis.
