Bothell’s Ford snags second in state hurdles race

Bothell’s Jalen Ford blasted to second place in the boys 110-meter hurdles in 14.55 seconds on Friday at the 4A state track and field championships at Mount Tahoma High in Tacoma.

Also for Bothell, Lauren Stavig took eighth in the long jump (17 feet, 8.25 inches) and eighth in the 100 meters (12.18); and Kevin Liu took eighth in the 100 meters (10.98) on Saturday.

For Inglemoor, Jalen Woodley took eighth in the 300-meter hurdles (43.0).

In 1A boys state track and field action at Eastern Washington University in Cheney on Saturday, Cedar Park Christian’s Ryan Abdallah took fourth in the 800 meters (1:56.44).
