Bothell’s Lopez runs to 11th at state meet; Inglemoor boys take 11th

Bothell’s Monserrat Lopez placed 11th in the girls 4A state cross country meet on Saturday at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco. She notched a personal-best time of 18 minutes, 31.40 seconds in the 5K race.

Inglemoor’s boys cross country team took 11th at the meet. Ray Vernon was the Viks’ top finisher in 39th place in 16:07. The team also consisted of Brayden Schultz, Cooper Laird, Curtis Anderson, Liam Elias, Bryce Lane and Andrew Vernon.

Also for the 4A boys, Bothell’s Brandon Simmons and North Creek’s Amrit Banga competed in the race, and in 1A, Cedar Park Christian’s Grant Gorc ran.

Inglemoor’s Olivia Wisont and Bothell’s Kerstin Ly also ran in the meet.
