The Cedar Park Christian volleyball team lost for the first time in Cascade Conference play on Monday evening in Bothell, dropping a tight match to Archbishop Murphy in four sets.

The Cedar Park Christian volleyball team lost for the first time in Cascade Conference play on Monday evening in Bothell, dropping a tight match to Archbishop Murphy in four sets.

Two of the four sets went to extra points before Archbishop Murphy pulled out a win, 25-21, 26-24, 25-27, 25-9.

Cedar Park senior Samantha Drechsel finished with 21 kills, leading the Eagles (3-1 Cascade, 5-2) in defeat.

Sam Hayward led all players with 26 kills for Archbishop Murphy (5-0, 7-0).

Next, Cedar Park is scheduled to continue conference play against Kings High School on Wednesday, Sept. 28 in Seattle. The Knights are 4-1 against conference opponents.
