Inglemoor, Juanita draw 1-1 in girls’ soccer opener

The Inglemoor High girls' soccer team played to a 1-1 nonconference draw with Juanita in the season opener on Tuesday at Bergh Field in Kirkland.

The Inglemoor High girls’ soccer team played to a 1-1 nonconference draw with Juanita in the season opener on Tuesday at Bergh Field in Kirkland.

Senior Katie Ryan scored in the first half for Juanita (0-1-0), the first goal of her varsity career.

Junior midfielder Kelsey Berge scored the first goal of the year for the Vikings (0-1-0), assisted by junior outside back Kylie Russell.

Next, Juanita is scheduled to play Meadowdale on Thursday, Sept. 8 at Lynnwood High School. Inglemoor is scheduled to begin conference play with a road match against Newport on Sept. 8.
