North Creek gymnasts notch third at state

North Creek High’s gymnasts vaulted to third place in the team standings at the 4A state championships on Feb. 16 at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall.

The Jaguars — who scored 173.750 — consisted of Erin Clayton, Yuka Baxter, Sophia Flores, Madisyn Armstrong, Jordan Creel, Morgan Wyatt, Saiyann Reyes, Ella Simmons, Eva Zaro and Allie Thomas.

Individually, Clayton tied for 10th in the all-around competition with a 36.675.

On Feb. 17, Creel took fourth on bars (9.450) and Clayton took sixth (9.225); Clayton tied for fourth on vault (9.575); and Inglemoor’s Amelia Stout took 10th on floor (9.450) and Clayton took 13th (9.440).
