Ponti’s walkoff double gives Bothell 5-4 win over Mount Si

Down 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Bothell’s Brody Ponti slugged a two-run walkoff double to give the Cougars a 4A KingCo baseball win over Mount Si on Wednesday night at Bothell High.

Bothell led 2-0 after three innings and Mount Si knocked in four to go up 4-2 in the fourth. The Cougars notched three runs in the seventh.

Ponti had two hits and three RBIs on the night and fellow Cougar Dylan Gerard had a pair of hits. Hunter Tripple earned the win on the mound for Bothell.

For Mount Si, Tank Brewster had two hits, Trace Halvorson had a two-run triple and Cole Bostwick had a run-scoring single.
