SOFTBALL AT A GLANCE

The Inglemoor High Vikings reached the double-elimination portion of the 4A Kingco softball tournament by winning the play-in game against Roosevelt High, 3-0, Friday.

The eight-team Kingco tournament eliminates either the No. 7 or No. 8 seed on Friday, before the double-elimination part begins on Tuesday. Behind Rosie Matsumoto — a sophomore who has had some great games, including a no-hitter against Redmond April 21 — and her four-hit performance, No. 7 Inglemoor won the play-in game.

The rest of the 4A Kingco softball tournament started Tuesday, after the Reporter’s deadline.
