Bothell firefighters recognize the difficulties local families are facing this year and they decided to reach into their own pockets and give $500 to every public elementary school within the city of Bothell.

The Local 2099 Firefighter Union donated a total of $4,500 to the nine schools. Monies were to be used to assist needy families who are identified by school staff.

“We have a strong connection with our schools, and we feel this is a great way to reach local families who are struggling this holiday season, said Local 2099 Union President Jim Roepke.”
