Bothell debater speaks volumes at Northwest University tournament

Bothell’s Edite Forman took 10th overall and tied for second with her Bellevue College team in the novice debate division at the Northwest University World’s style debate tournament Jan. 16.

A total of 42 students from six colleges competed.

Widely used due to the lively exchanges it encourages, the World’s debate format involves a series of short speeches, with interruptions allowed for statements by the speaker’s opponents.
