A total of five Inglemoor and Bothell high runners will be competing in the 4A state cross country meet this Saturday at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.

Last Saturday at the bi-district 4A championships held at South Whidbey High in Langley, the Viking boys just missed the top-five cut to send their entire team, finishing sixth, but were led by senior Colin O’Neil, who finished fourth in 16 minutes, 18 seconds. O’Neil and fellow senior Ryan Rinaldi (16:39, 15th) both punched their tickets to state, as did Bothell junior Nathan Conrad (16:47, 20th).

On the girls’ side, Inglemoor senior Tansey Lystad posted a strong 18:15 time for third place, followed by sophomore Kyra Burke (19:41, 10th). The team finished in seventh place, 10 points away from a state berth.
