Northshore’s firefighter of the year

The Northshore Fire Department honored Ken Hofschulte (left) as its firefighter of the year last month at a Lake City Elks banquet. Hofschulte, pictured with Northshore Fire Chief Tom Weathers, collected and organized the Northshore Fire Department history — archiving more than 1,000 photos — and is building the dining room table for the new fire station.
