University of Washington, Bothell Master of Arts in Policy Studies Program celebrates 10 years tonight

The University of Washington, Bothell Master of Arts in Policy Studies will hold a 10th-year anniversary celebration from 6:30-9 p.m. tonight in the North Creek Events Center. The keynote speaker for this event will be David Bacon.
Bacon is an award-winning writer and photojournalist based in Oakland and Berkeley, Calif., who has been recognized nationally in the course of his 18 years of work. He is an associate editor at Pacific News Service and writes for The Nation, The American Prospect, The Progressive and the San Francisco Chronicle, among other publications. He has exhibited his work in Mexico, the UK and Germany. Bacon covers issues of labor, immigration and international politics and is currently documenting popular resistance to war and attacks on immigrant labor and civil rights.
