Canyon Creek Elementary students are star recyclers | Slideshow

Employees from Republic Services brought their “Recycle Rosie & Garbage Gus” education program to Canyon Creek Elementary second-grade students in Bothell Friday afternoon. The event featured about 100 students discussing recycling near a miniature material-recovery conveyor belt with Republic staff members, and drivers teaching them how to be safe around the company’s garbage trucks, three of which were on hand. Some students also honked the trucks’ loud horns.
