Sarah Trawczynski served Washington last week as a page in the State Senate in Olympia.

Trawczynski was sponsored by Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe, D-Bothell. The 10th-grade homeschooler lives in Bothell.

“Sarah is a very independent and intelligent young woman,” McAuliffe said. “She has a great deal of potential and I wish her all the best for a bright future.”

Trawczynski heard about the page program from friends in her debate club.

“Being on campus and seeing how the logistics all come together has really increased my knowledge of government,” Trawczynski said.

Sarah volunteered last year for a political campaign and is very involved with her debate club. Her favorite subjects in school are biology and Western literature.
