Maintenance work planned at the Brightwater Pump Station in Bothell, May 18-19

Wastewater Treatment Division crews will work this weekend at King County’s Brightwater Pump Station in Bothell to reduce emissions from emergency generators that serve as a backup power source. People near the pump station should expect increased noise and activity while work is under way.
Crews will run the generators to clear soot from the pump station’s exhaust system that accumulated during equipment testing in March and April from 1-10 p.m.on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to about 4 p.m. on May 19. King County has been working with engineers to correct the issue and to ensure optimal performance of the generators and exhaust system.
The pump station is located at the intersection of Northeast 195th Street and North Creek Parkway in Bothell.
Weekend work will help minimize impacts to the surrounding business parks.
