The following is a release from the Steve Booth for Bothell City Council campaign:
Bothell’s longtime State Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe has endorsed Steve Booth for Bothell City Council for Pos. 5. She joins a growing list of local leaders, small business owners and Bothell families who have announced their support for Booth.
“I am honored to have Senator McAuliffe’s support,” said Booth. “Her leadership has been central to Bothell’s progress in recent years and I would be privileged to work with her on behalf of the citizens of Bothell as a member of the city council.”
Steve Booth has a growing list of supporters including former Rep. Al O’Brien, Rob McKenna, Bothell’s Mayor and Deputy Mayor, Councilmembers Del Spivey and Tom Agnew along with several members of the Bothell Planning Commission and local business owners including Leigh Henderson, owner of Alexa’s Café and Steve Richards of Wayne Golf Course. In addition, several organizations have announced their support for Booth as well including Bothell Firefighters and Police, the Seattle King County Realtors and the Affordable Housing Council.
“As your city councilmember I will work to protect our vital police and fire services and safeguard your tax dollars from wasteful spending,” said Booth. “I support the Downtown revitalization plan that brought jobs and improvements to Bothell and saved the historic Anderson Building with
McMenamins. We need to move now to ensure the people’s vision for Downtown is completed on time and on budget.”
Booth is currently a member of the Bothell Planning Commission.
He earned an MBA from the University of Washington and has professional experience in both real estate and the high tech sectors. Booth is a US Army veteran and has served the community as an NYBA youth basketball coach and on the executive leadership council of HopeLink.
