Bothell endures slow third quarter, hangs on to beat Newport | Prep boys basketball

The Bothell High School boys basketball team defeated Newport 61-59 on Friday in Bellevue.

The Cougars built a nine-point lead by halftime and stayed just ahead of the home team during the second half to secure the victory.

Cameron Tyson and Nicolas Medjo gave Bothell balanced scoring, as they both posted 15 points for the team.
