Memorizing a phone number from a road construction sign while commuting can be difficult. To make it easier for people to contact Snohomish County Public Works with their questions and to view road construction information, the county has simplified things. With the incorporation of the word: “ROAD” these updated resources accommodate the everyday busy citizen who doesn’t have the time or ability to stop and jot down a long website address, phone number or email.

Commuters and pedestrians will see the following new update information on road signs, county road webpages, mailers, and future communications: Webpage address – snocoROAD.org; phone number – (425) 388-ROAD (7623); and mail address – ROAD@snoco.org.

“If construction is occurring in their neighborhood or impacting their drive to work, residents want to know,” said Snohomish County Public Works Deputy Director Owen Carter. “We anticipate this change will make it simpler for the public to contact us to ask questions and share comments about the work that is going on. To recall Public Works road information resources, they simply need to keep ‘ROAD’ in mind.”

The former road information resources were non-descript and difficult for commuters to recollect, and these resources will slowly be phased out over time.
