Kenmore proclaims Public Works Week

The following is a press release from the City of Kenmore.

In celebration of National Public Works Week, the Kenmore City Council has proclaimed the week of May 17-23, 2015 as Public Works Week in Kenmore.

Public works services are an integral component of everyone’s lives through delivery and management of water, stormwater, sewers, streets and highways, public buildings, parks, solid waste collection and power.

The City greatly values and appreciates our Kenmore Public Works employees, including those at the City of Lake Forest Park, King County, and consultant teams.

We are also grateful for our public works service providers, including Northshore Utility District, Puget Sound Energy and Republic Services, for their excellent service to our community.

All of these individuals help provide services that improve the quality, livability and comfort of our community.

Public works promotes health, safety, and comfort for the citizens of Kenmore and we urge everyone to take a few minutes to acquaint themselves with the issues involved in public works and to recognize the wonderful contributions of our public works staff and consultants.

National Public Works Week is observed each year during the third full week of May.
