Mulch fire closes 228th Street Southwest overnight

BOTHELL — A stubborn fire in a pile of mulch caused the overnight closure of a stretch of roadway near Bothell.
The closure affected traffic on 228th Street SW from 4th to 14th Avenue W. The City of Bothell announced the road was reopened around 10 a.m. Monday.
The fire was reported Sunday evening at the Fruhling Sand and Topsoil business in the 1000 block of 228th Street SW. No injuries were reported.
