Sen. Patty Murray’s statement on the passing of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia

The following is a release from the office of U.S. Sen. Patty Murray:

“Justice Antonin Scalia was a dedicated public servant who gave so many years to our courts and our country. He and I certainly didn’t see eye to eye on many issues, but his intellect, passion, and commitment were unquestionable. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

“With so many critical issues before the Supreme Court, I am hopeful that the President can move as quickly as possible to fill this vacancy with the advice and consent of the Senate.”
