Skyview Junior High donates food baskets

Skyview Junior High held its 10th annual Holiday Food Drive to create food baskets to donate to families in the community.

The drive is held to teach students about developing a sense of others as they experience personal connections to the community families they are helping, Frank Dellino, who is a counselor with the Northshore School District, said.

This year, several thousand pounds of food were collected, which served more than 40 families. Each family received about 150 pounds of food, including a turkey, pie, rolls and nonperishables.
