Alexandria Ellis scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Seattle Christian girls basketball team to a 54-42 nonconference win over Cedar Park on Tuesday in Bothell.

The Warriors (6-1) jumped out to a big lead in the first half, up 22-10 after the first quarter and 29-18 at halftime.

Cedar Park went on a third-quarter rally and got within 32-30, trailing 38-34 after three quarters.

The visitors upped the pressure in the fourth quarter with Ellis leading a full-court press, forcing the Eagles (3-5) into several consecutive turnovers and rebuilding a double-digit lead.

Cedar Park junior Kaitlin Carlson led the Eagles with 16 points, 12 of which came in the first half. Freshman wing Irena Korolenko caught fire in the second half, scoring six points in the third quarter and 14 points for the game.

Sophomore post Sela Flynn had 10 points.

Next, Cedar Park is scheduled to play a nonconference game against Meridian at 5:40 p.m. on Dec. 22 at Meridian High School in Bellingham.
