Bothell girls beat Inglemoor to wrap up perfect conference season

The Bothell High girls basketball team polished off its first undefeated run through the conference schedule in since 1998 with a 72-45 win over Inglemoor on Friday at Bothell High School.

The Cougars (14-0 KingCo, 18-2) now head into the conference tournament with the No. 1 seed and will await the winner between Inglemoor and Skyline in the semifinals on Feb. 11.

Bothell jumped out to a huge lead, grabbing an 18-4 edge after the first quarter and leading 28-18 at halftime.

Inglemoor (5-8, 8-10) crept within nine midway through the third period, but Bothell put on a massive rally to pull away in the third and fourth quarters.

Next, the Vikings will play Skyline at 6 p.m. on Feb. 8 at Redmond High School in a loser-out game. The winner moves on to face Bothell.

Only the top two teams make the regional games: the winner of the championship game on Feb. 16 and the winner of the consolation game on Feb. 18.
