Kenmore announces first intersection art work | Vote for your favorite design by Oct. 11

The City of Kenmore is excited to announce the future site of Kenmore’s first intersection artwork.

Earlier in 2017, the city modified the intersection of 84th Avenue Northeast and Simonds Road to improve pedestrian and bicyclist safety and reduce traffic speeds.

Subsequently, there is space on the north and south sides of the intersection for artwork to be placed behind the existing curbing and edge lines along the roadway. Inglemoor High School students developed six different geometric designs for the space and need your help picking the winning design.

The survey will be open until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 11.

The city will work with the winning artist to arrange installation of the artwork in the next few months.
