Katherine Ratliff from Kenmore will be among more than 1,000 St. Olaf College students who will be recognized for academic achievement at the Northfield, Minn. college’s annual Honors Day convocation this Friday.
Honors Day recognizes students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.60 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The convocation also recognizes students who have been awarded scholarships and fellowships, including Fulbright scholars, Goldwater scholars and senior members of leadership and academic honor societies.
The ceremony will begin with a colorful academic procession led by St. Olaf President David R. Anderson and will be followed by a reception. Dr. Robert Jacobel, professor of physics, and Grace A. Whittier Endowed, chair in science, will give this year’s address, “A Sense of Place.”
